Faroe Islands - now even greener!

The Faroe Islands are an island group consisting of 18 major islands located about half-way between Norway and Iceland. The islands are naturally rugged and rocky, but most of the lowland is covered in a very beautiful green colored grassland.

The islands are now becoming even "greener", as Polar Energi has started the first supply of the world’s most energy efficient air to water heat pump system. Polar Energi was present with training and support when 3 new systems were installed last week in Torshavn. These were 2 residential, and 1 industrial installations. Polar Energi’s heat pump systems are represented in Faroe Islands by VVS Import and Jóhan Hendrik Hansen in Vestmanna.

“Jóhan is doing a fantastic job sharing all the system benefits and advantages to the local community, and further installations are already in the pipeline. In the transition moving away from the use of fossil energy heating sources, the Polar Energi system is likely the most reliable and most energy efficient system available on the market today. The system will lower existing running costs to an absolute minimum, and the environmental friendliness is naturally a great bonus for us as each installation is an action toward reducing the impacts of climate change. Systems are available for both residential and industrial configurations and we expect a lot of local interest monitoring the performance of the installations already made", says Polar Energi CEO, Tor Nordli-Mathisen
